# We held honey bee health and biosafety training at Alata

As part of our Organic Beekeeping Project, we brought beekeepers together at Alata on 11 December 2021 for training with Prof. Dr. Levent Aydın.

The Mediterranean Natural Life Association (NATURELDER) held **Honey Bee Health and Biosafety Training at the Alata Horticultural Research Institute on 11 December 2021.** We met with beekeepers as part of our local project to develop organic beekeeping in Mersin.

During the training, **sponsored by Eğriçayır**, **Prof. Dr. Levent Aydın** shared his knowledge of honey bee health and biosafety with the beekeepers.

We developed the Organic Beekeeping Project in partnership with the **Erdemli District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the Mersin Beekeepers' Association and Eğriçayır Organic Honey and Bee Products**. The training at Alata was part of this cooperation, which aims to strengthen knowledge sharing among beekeepers and local organisations.
