BeeBridge's first partner meeting held in Wrocław
As NATURELDER, we joined partners from six countries in Wrocław, Poland, on 16 January 2026 to discuss BeeBridge's objectives and work plan.
As NATURELDER, we took part in the first transnational partner meeting of the BeeBridge project, held on 16 January 2026 in Wrocław, Poland, under the Erasmus+ KA220-VET programme. Partners from Poland, Spain, Czechia, Lithuania, Estonia and Türkiye came together to discuss the work ahead on intergenerational knowledge transfer in beekeeping.
Planning the work ahead
Project objectives, work packages and next steps formed the main agenda. Together with our partners, we reviewed the activity schedule and the distribution of roles and responsibilities across the work packages. We also discussed a shared approach to communication and dissemination, so that the resources developed can reach their intended audiences.
This first meeting gave us an opportunity to bring different countries’ experience in beekeeping and vocational education into a shared work plan.
Connecting generations in beekeeping
BeeBridge aims to connect experienced beekeepers’ knowledge with younger generations and people entering the sector. Building on the training developed through BeeGen, the project will update learning content for both beginners and professional beekeepers.
The updated content will address the effects of climate change on beekeeping and digital practices often described as Beekeeping 4.0. Visual, audio and practical learning approaches will support resources that beekeepers with different levels of experience can use.
Coordinated by Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (WUELS), the project runs from 1 December 2025 to 30 November 2028.
What will the project develop?
Planned BeeBridge resources and activities include:
- Videos and other audiovisual materials for beekeeping training.
- “Voice of Experts” podcasts sharing knowledge from specialists and experienced beekeepers.
- A handbook for a model educational apiary.
- Three micro educational apiaries to support practical learning.
- A digital training platform supported by AI solutions.
NATURELDER’s contribution
As the project’s Turkish partner, we will contribute to developing training content, adapting it into Turkish, local testing and dissemination. By connecting beekeepers’ practical experience with our international partners’ work, we will support the creation of learning resources for new generations.
