We met on Zoom on 8 October 2026 to begin the OPEN FIELDS project. Partner representatives discussed the objectives, work schedule, division of tasks and planned learning resources.
OPEN FIELDS aims to strengthen digital and sustainable farming skills among farmers, agricultural workers and vocational learners. NATURELDER is the Türkiye partner. Supported through Erasmus+ KA210-VET, the project runs from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027, with a total €60,000 lump-sum grant. New Edu,n.o coordinates the partnership with CSITA, AgFutura and NATURELDER.
Preparing the learning resources
The meeting considered how smart farming tools can become clear and usable learning resources for participants with different digital skill levels. The presentation covered a comparison of existing practices across partner countries, an inclusive training methodology and four online learning modules.
The planned modules cover digital literacy, farm data use, sustainable and precision agriculture, and inclusive entrepreneurship. Online resources will be combined with practical sessions and tested with participants in the partner countries.
NATURELDER’s contribution
NATURELDER will develop the Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Community Innovation in Agriculture module. We will help the learning content address the needs of women, young people and groups with fewer opportunities.
Our association will lead the regional workshop activity across the four countries and organise the workshop in Türkiye. NATURELDER will also lead evaluation work to track participant feedback and learning outcomes.
Cooperation and communication
The online meeting also covered working arrangements, sharing project results, communication channels and the next preparation steps. Discussion included cooperation with VET providers and local stakeholders, accessible resources and feedback collection during implementation.
