About the project
Growing Together is an Erasmus+ Training Course that integrates sustainability, permaculture, and social inclusion to empower youth workers and educators in supporting migrant inclusion and ecological awareness. The program aims to equip participants with tools to foster sustainable communities, promote intercultural engagement, and enhance employability skills through social permaculture and digital tools.
Training objectives
- Training youth workers and educators to develop projects supporting migrant integration.
- Teaching social permaculture techniques to create resilient, inclusive communities.
- Developing digital and communication tools for youth workers to engage migrants effectively.
- Fostering sustainability and ecological responsibility in youth projects.
- Encouraging intercultural collaboration and leadership through participatory methods.
Training programme
Dates and location: September 17 - 25, 2024 | La Borie Noble, France
- Workshops on human migration and social integration.
- Experiential learning visits to local NGOs and permaculture sites.
- Practical hands-on activities using permaculture and social innovation.
- Youth empowerment and communication skill-building exercises.
- Cross-cultural engagement and leadership training.
The course programme provided for Youthpass certification on completion.
Participation and sharing our experience
Hosted by Association Regain at La Borie Noble, the training brought together 24 participants from 11 countries. Participants from Algeria, Argentina, Belgium, Croatia, France, Greece, Guinea, Italy, Serbia, Spain and Türkiye contributed their different cultural experiences to the shared learning process. NATURELDER took part in the training from Türkiye.
After the training, we shared our experience at an information meeting at Adana TAYEM. We discussed social permaculture and inclusive communities, exchanging ideas through participants’ questions and contributions.
The project was funded under the Erasmus+ Youth Workers Mobility Programme, with a total budget of €35,577, under project number 2024-1-FR02-KA153-YOU-000233693.
