In 2016, in cooperation with the Erdemli Public Education Center and the Evening Art School Directorate and the Erdemli District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate, a team of 36 people traveled to Italy, Spain, and Lithuania for field investigations.

As part of the project, a 14-member group, led by Erdemli Public Education Center Director Ömer Okur and Project Coordinator Avni Taşyürek, visited Spain between April 17-30, 2016. During this visit, participants examined olive groves, observed advanced olive production and harvesting techniques, and visited olive oil processing facilities.

The aim of this project was to analyze and improve the curriculum for olive cultivation training courses, develop educational materials, and implement new methodologies in Turkey. By comparing European practices with local ones, participants gained valuable insights into improving olive production efficiency and sustainability.
