Sustainability on Stage 2.0 is an Erasmus+ Training Course designed to enhance the skills of youth workers in sustainability education through theatre and creative, experiential, and non-formal learning methods. The project follows the 2022 youth exchange of the same name and builds on its success by deepening sustainability knowledge, fostering creativity, and strengthening environmental engagement. Project Goals & Activities Reconnecting societies with nature through theatre-based sustainability education. Developing a holistic understanding of sustainability, integrating ecological, social, economic, and cultural dimensions. Equipping youth workers with theatrical methods, including Sensorial Theatre and Social Theatre, to advocate for sustainability. Encouraging professional development of youth workers to integrate sustainability principles into their work. Strengthening international networks of sustainability promoters, fostering collaboration among youth organizations. Project Structure "Sustainability for You" (August 15 - September 9, 2024) A 4-week online course introducing sustainability concepts through webinars and self-paced learning. "Sustainability on Local Stage" (September 19 - 24, 2024) A 7-day in-person training in Infiesto, Spain, applying theatre techniques to sustainability advocacy. Participants will engage in multisensory experiences, participatory theatre, and community events. "Sustainability in Your Hands" Post-training dissemination activities, where participants apply their knowledge in local initiatives. "Sustainability on Stage – Toolkit" A comprehensive guide documenting the methods used in the project, ensuring sustainability practices are shared widely across Europe. Participants will receive a YouthPass Certification upon completion. The project is hosted by Asociación Creando Floresta and involves participants from Spain, Italy, Serbia, France, Turkey, and Portugal. It is funded under the Erasmus+ Youth Workers Mobility Programme, with a total budget of €28,612, under project number 2024-1-ES02-KA153-YOU-000231267.
