The Rural Boosters project was implemented as an Erasmus+ Youth Workers Mobility Training Course, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in depopulated and rural regions. The training took place between February 22 - March 1, 2023, in Mollina, Spain, and focused on equipping youth workers with tools and methods to support sustainable rural development and protect cultural and natural heritage. Project Goals & Activities Training youth workers on tools and methods to promote youth entrepreneurship in rural areas. Encouraging the creation of social innovation projects, companies, and initiatives that utilize local resources. Preventing depopulation in small villages by increasing development opportunities for young people. Developing knowledge about sustainability, digitization, and social entrepreneurship. Applying these concepts to real-life entrepreneurial projects that positively impact rural communities. Two youth workers from Turkey participated in the training, gaining valuable knowledge on how to support rural entrepreneurship and apply social innovation methods to promote development in rural areas. The training was hosted by Asociación Juvenil Almenaras and included participants from Slovakia, Greece, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey, Croatia, Portugal, and Spain. This project was funded by the Erasmus+ Programme: Youth Workers Mobility, covering travel expenses and accommodation for participants, with a total budget of €25,395 under the project number ES02-KA153-YOU-000011004.
